First I’d like to apologize for not posting in the past week! It was a crazy time with projects due at my FIT class, and preparations to make for our flight back home. A few life updates, I’m now back in Paris but while I was in New York, I cut my hair! I had been growing it out for about two years and finally decided to chop off my long locks for a good cause. To me it’s only hair, but to a woman with cancer it’s something that makes her feel empowered, and like her former self. I donated to Pantene’s beautiful lengths program which gives free wigs made 100% of human hair to women with cancer. It’s a great way to give back so if you can, donate!
My last full weekend in New York I decided to follow one of my friends recommendations to go to a restaurant named Beauty & Essex. My friend is an absolute genius because of course his recommendation was incredible! Go to my Instagram to see all of the delicious things we ate there, and all over NYC!
A simple yet sophisticated outfit is what I consider perfect for brunch. I wore a one shoulder dress, that drapes absolutely beautifully. The brown leather accents added an edge to the feminine look of the dress in contrasting with the romantic shape reminiscent of a toga. I added a thin belt to the dress in order to balance the look, and not make it overly loose. My black sandals from Zara, which have now become a staple were the perfect pair of shoes as they elevated the look. Some round sunglasses finished off the look and protected my eyes from the blazing sun.

See you in a few days with another post, and soon with a new destination. I have one more trip this summer, and then the move to Brussels!
