When short, fall days turn into nights I become nostalgic of the passing day with its fiery sunsets and clouded skies. Some days I want to stay inside, huddled by the fireplace and buried in blankets, but others even these short days hold the promise of adventure and surprise.
The basis of this look is very basic, an LBB (little black blouse), a plaid skirt, and some black booties. But as I’ve said before, what makes an outfit is in its details. The cut of the skirt, fringe on the boots, and a dramatic coat that demands to be taken back to the 70’s. Starting a look can be as simple as wearing a few staples and accessorizing, or wearing something casual for the day and jazzing it up to go out at night. A pair of heels can make your day look turn to something suitable for nighttime in instants. And if you have some time to spare, changing into a more streamlined skirt can also help transform an outfit into something perfect for after dark.
