Infinite grayscale

Gray is a color that exudes sophistication and formality. That is why it should come as no surprise that this color dominated winter 15/16 both on and off the runway. Monochrome gray outfits, or groutfits have been all the rage this past winter. Personally, I find them very chic, even though I have not experimented with them as much as I would have liked to. The beauty of trying something new is being able to fail. So don’t be afraid to try something new; a trend, cut, or style that you’d never dream of wearing.

You know those happy accidents in life that create a chain of positive events? Like when your mom puts a beautiful gray sweater in the wash, it shrinks, and the only person who fits in it now is you? Or does that only happen to me? The sweater in question is the one I’m wearing in this look, which is reminiscent of the one Drake wore in his Hotline Bling video; which let’s be honest, you wanted to steal. I paired it with a pair of gray biker jeans which have an intricate detailing that adds some texture to the look. Recently, I acquired this cape coat from Relaxfeel Fashion, a Hong Kong based online brand. It’s so beautifully cut, and the fabric is perfect for the cooler months! This was my first time wearing it out and I absolutely loved it! The only problem with this groutfit were the shoes; so I decided to go for a pair of chunky heeled, lace-up boots that I bought because of the snow, which unfortunately lasted a week.

I hope all of you had an amazing weekend! February is practically here and I can’t wait to see what it brings! Last year I wrote a Valentine’s day post and this year I might do the same. What do you think? I love you all, and I hope all of you have an amazing start to the new month!

XOXO, Sofia
