La Vie Fleuri | Easter look

Happy Easter! I know not all of you celebrate the holiday, but for those who do then I hope you’ve had a great Good Friday and are having a fabulous Easter Sunday! La vie fleuri means the flowered life, which I thought was the perfect title of this post because of what Easter represents to me. To me, Easter is a signal of the commencing Spring, a reminder of blossoming life, and resurrection. What Winter destroyed is reborn in Spring; the flowers, trees, and nature throughout. Flowers blossom, birds chirp, and the leaves on trees are reborn. Life begins again in Spring, putting a halt to the dull monotony of Winter.

This past Good Friday, I wore a look which was both practical and fashion-forward. If you follow me on Instagram then you might have already seen the look here. The look played up on both tight, and relaxed silhouettes with the different clothing items. Some black skinny jeans, a striped turtleneck, and my blue booties added a more structured element to the outfit, whilst my trapeze coat and furry gilet gave a more relaxed vibe to the look. And surprise, surprise, I wore a fedora! The color palette for this outfit was monochrome, with the exception of these pale blue booties, which added a pop of color to this otherwise neutral look. I incorporated some pattern into the look with this striped turtleneck top from Brandy Melville. Turtlenecks are great winter wardrobe staples because of their warmth, versatility, and the ease with which they can be layered. I style them underneath sweaters for a more oversized style, and with more fit pieces such as blazers or leather jackets for a more tailored feel.

I hope you’ve all had a great week whether you were celebrating Easter or not! I’m counting down the days until Spring break, which is only 12 days from now! I’m so excited to be sharing my whole trip with you, and I honestly can’t wait to have some r&r time.

XOXO, Sofia
