Call me a shopaholic or just plain obsessed but one of my favorite things to do is go shopping! And that’s only shopping in stores. Don’t even get me started on online shopping! I guess somehow though it goes hand in hand with my love for fashion. Today I wanted to share with you some of the things I purchased from the sales here in Paris. I decided to split this into two parts since there are quite a few things to show you!
The first thing is a big thing, actually it’s kind of small considering my shoe size is a 35/36 European (#smallfeetprobz anyone?). This season I finally decided to invest in a good pair of black, leather flats. I’ve been lusting after these ones from Marc Jacobs for over two years, and when I saw them on the YOOX sale I knew I needed to have them. The leather is so soft and the mouse face is super cute!
Obviously, I had to go by Zara and I have to say I was very impressed! I only bought two things since it was so crowded, but they had some great pieces. These houndstooth shorts are one of the things I picked up. I love the classic feel the print gives off, and the fabric is thick enough to wear during winter. I would style this with a black blouse, a basic blazer, and some knee/thigh high boots for a formal occasion. For every day, I would wear these shorts with a black turtleneck (like the one pictured above), some flats, a cardigan, and a black fedora or floppy hat. Houndstooth has been extremely popular this autumn/winter, and these shorts are currently 13 euros so if you love them as much as I do head to Zara!
I stopped by Urban Outfitters in BHV, a department store here in Paris and I picked up this burgundy overall dress (similar in black from Zara). This perfectly compliments the schoolgirl/preppy style which I love to wear every once in a while! Burgundy, as you have probably already realized is one of my favorite autumnal and winter shades. Layered over a simple black top, it’s perfect for the colder months when worn under a coat. I can’t wait to wear this in an outfit post!
And lastly, the pièce de résistance of all of the purchases, this coat from Sandro!! I’ve been looking for one of these “teddy coats” for ages. The other day while shopping with my mom I laid my eyes on this one and it was love at first sight! It’s super warm and cozy, and I’m super excited to wear it for what remains of this winter!
I hope you liked this collection of the pieces I’ve accumulated over the past few weeks. Look out for part two next Wednesday!
