Les Soldes pt. 2

And as promised, here is part deux of what I bought in les soldes! Instead of showing you all an assortment of photos of all of the pieces I purchased, I decided to make an outfit solely composed of items bought during this time.

The end result of combining all of these pieces was something that I loved wearing, and looking at! The variation of colors, patterns, and details in this outfit is, I believe, what made it so interesting to look at. Biker jeans were seen everywhere this fall/winter from Zara to Balmain, ranging in prices between €30 to upwards of €1,000, and in a variety of colors and washes.  The grey ones I’m wearing in the images below added an interesting contrast to the somber pieces of the outfit and gave some dimension to the entire look. For a pop of print, I wore these leopard print booties which I purchased today at 50% off! The booties are made of leather, and the printed part is pony hair. This is the first leopard printed pair of shoes (or anything) I’ve ever purchased. I think it is such a timeless pattern, and that it will never truly be ‘out of style’.

The rest of the look was fairly uncomplicated. I paired a basic black, silk blouse with the jeans and booties to add a more classic piece to the look. And, of course, my Sandro coat was the perfect finish touch for the outfit.

One of my go – to shopping tips is to envision how you can incorporate the specific item you’re lusting after into an outfit. This way you’re less likely to buy those pieces that just sit in your closet for months, or years because you can’t figure out how to wear them!  Get ready to see a new face in Sunday’s post! And no, it’s not another dog!

XOXO, Sofia
