There’s a level of excitement that comes with exploring a new city. The feeling of discovery, curiosity, and marvel at every new street corner, architecture, and the landscape that surrounds you. Earlier this month, I experienced that feeling all over again when I traveled to the Austrian capital. Vienna is a place rich in history and culture, surrounded by rich greenery and beautiful scenery. My first full day in the city consisted of a walk through Stadtpark, a beautiful, floral garden and a visit to Belvedere Palace, where the view took my breath away. To anyone visiting Vienna, you must ABSOLUTELY go to Belvedere, if not for the art at least for the view. Though, in my opinion, both were equally appealing and were some of my highlights of the trip.
With this look I envisioned a laid-back, city way of dressing which I achieved with several ‘cool’ staples. The first of these was undoubtedly a leather jacket, a must-have not just for city goers but for everyone! I wore a long shirt from Brandy Melville that had “mermaids don’t do homework” embroidered on the pocket, which added a hip, fun element to the outfit. A pair of acid wash jeans added a more grunge vibe to the look which contributed to the overall ‘bad-girl/rocker’ feel of the outfit. A fringed leather backpack gave some dimension and the floppy hat added some femininity to contrast with the more tough/grunge pieces. And a pair of good walking shoes, Converse!
That’s all for today! Tomorrow we have yet another bank holiday here in France which I’m pretty stoked about. The month of May is always one to enjoy with time to relax and better weather approaching!
