Porto City Guide⎜See, eat, do

After visiting Porto, I was amazed at how beautiful yet underrated this city was. How could a spectacular city filled with charm, and rich with history be so unknown? After visiting Porto, and spending some of the most beautiful days there, I can’t fathom why. However, what I do know about this wonderful city are some great things to see, eat, and do.

See the view from Miradouro da Vitoria, which was without a doubt one of the most beautiful views we stumbled upon while in Porto

See the Sao Bento railway station which is decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles, and where I shot this post!

See the various cathedrals around town, which are simply breathtaking!

Eat a slice of cake and enjoy a cup of tea at Majestic Café, one of the oldest cafés in Porto.

Eat a Francesinha (Portuguese croque monsieur) if you’re not counting calories!

Do visit Livraria Lello, an old bookshop that inspired JK Rowling for some of Hogwart’s interiors

Do walk across the Dom Luis bridge to enjoy some beautiful views of Porto

Do take the cable car to Vila Nova de Gaia, a neighbouring city that houses many Porto wine cellars where you can go wine tasting

Do visit the Palacio da Bolsa (pictured below) , Porto’s stock exchange palace to see some incredible architecture and learn more about Porto’s history!

That’s all for my Porto guide! As always, I hope you enjoyed it! If you think that I missed anything, be sure to mention it in the comments! I would love to hear what you think about Porto if you’ve ever visited, or if you’re planning a trip there! I can’t wait to share with you the amazing locations that I visited for my next few posts and the beautiful places I’ll be visiting during the month of August. Lots of love, and make sure to enjoy the sales!

XOXO, Sofia
