Stripes & Stans

Just as swiftly as I arrived in Porto, I left. That brief four-day trip was enough to provide a change of scenery and a break in a complex schedule. Yet it wasn’t me running away from the chaotic instance that I was in, but rather a breath of fresh air. Being able to do that is one of the best things about living in Europe. One moment you can be in France, the next in Spain. Traveling from country to country, and city to city spontaneously is easier than ever.

What would be perfect for a city stroll? A comfy, chic look to strut down the streets of a new destination. My take on this idea was the look you see in these images, which I wore during my trip to Porto. The central piece of this look was the striped bodycon dress featured. One of my favorite things about this dress is the turtleneck detail that it has since it adds a little something-something to the dress.  Another thing I love about it is how versatile it is! I’ve worn it with everything from heels, to flats, to sneakers as you can see here! I’ve recently developed a love for pairing skirts and dresses with sneakers, especially my Stan Smiths! Tell me what you think about pairing sneakers with dresses + skirts in the comments!

I’m so excited…and I just can’t hide it! There’s no better way to describe how I’m feeling than with the Scissor Sister’s classic. And I certainly have something to be happy about! Not only am I on summer vacation, but I am also about to start my traveling! I’m off to Berlin in a couple of days, then it’s back to Brussels, and again to Germany. Most exciting is what will be taking place all through August. If you want to be in the know about the amazing locations that I’ll be visiting, make sure to follow me on Instagram! See you next time!
