If you read this post, then you’re probably ready to meet the surprise guest! That person is, drumroll … my best friend Megan! These photos were taken right before a MUN conference at school. For those of you not familiar with MUN (short for model United Nations), it is an activity in which students participate in debates about ongoing issues. This has been my first year taking part, and I absolutely loved it! It’s an amazing opportunity to express yourself, practice writing formally, and to ameliorate your public speaking.
This is definitely one of my favorite looks I’ve ever worn! It made me step out of my comfort zone since I usually wear more laid-back, everyday outfits. This was actually my first time wearing a pencil skirt since I had never been to an event that called for more business-chic style, such as the MUN conference. To make the look edgier and more my style, I selected a pencil skirt with a pattern and a different texture. I paired the skirt with a basic white blouse, and over that I wore a printed blazer from Mango. I love the cut and fit of this blazer since it was more unconventional than that of your average blazer. This blazer was love at first sight, and when I looked at the price tag to discover it was also on sale, it had to be mine! To finish off the look, I wore my Marc Jacobs mouse ballerinas and my navy blue mini M.A.C clutch from Rebecca Minkoff.
Megan wore a blue lace dress from Forever 21, and I think she looked amazing! The dress looked even better in person and the model and the dress received a much deserved shower of compliments from my mom and I.

I’m so grateful to have such an amazing person as my best friend. She’s been with me through some tough times, and she’s put up with me for almost four years! Megan, if you’re reading this I want to say two words to you. Thank you! As you grow older, and wiser you discover the true meaning of friendship and realize who your real friends are. And this girl is definitely a real friend. Love you all, and remember to stay strong, beautiful, and chic!
