One of the many perks of living in a bustling city like Paris is being able to attend exciting events! This Thursday I attended Chiara Ferragni’s pop-up store opening at Le Bon Marché. To say it was crowded was an understatement, I practically felt like I was in a room with all of her other 3.3 million Instagram followers. Since there were so many people I unfortunately was not able to take a picture with Chiara, which really disappointed me. I felt like the event could have been better organized, since I stood in one of the lines to take a picture with her for more than two hours and saw people who were not in the lines smugly taking selfies with her. Something else that really irritated me was that she came 45 minutes after the event officially started and ended ten minutes earlier! When I realized she had left, and that I was evidently not going to get my photo with her I started crying. I stood in line, waited, and instead of getting a picture with her, I had to see people who weren’t in line grinning because they’d taken a picture with her and not stood a minute in line. Fortunately, this weekend I met (and took a selfie with!!) one of my favorite bloggers ever at her meet and greet. If you follow me on Instagram you might have already seen who it is!! The five minutes I met this blogger completely made up for the 2 hours I waited for and didn’t ‘meet’ Chiara.
Top – ASOS
Skort – Forever 21 (similar)
Leather Jacket – Maje (very similar)
Shoes – Marc Jacobs
Necklace – Zara
For the event, I wore a very nighttime inspired look. This gold top was the focal point of the outfit, adding some shine to the whole look. Instead of pairing it with a skirt, which would have been safe I decided to wear a skort. Skorts or asymmetric shorts, are very versatile pieces which work well for all seasons. I wore this same pair during the summer, and now, in winter I wore them with some tights to keep warm. My leather jacket from Maje added the perfect amount of edgy and cool to the look. I always feel so bad-ass when I’m wearing a leather jacket, which I don’t mind since I’m really the furthest thing from a bad-ass possible (my brother calls me a goody two shoes). And lastly, to accessorize I wore this choker from Zara which just added some sparkle to the outfit and made it a little bit more interesting.
I have lots, and lots of new posts planned so get excited!
