Taking fashion Risks | Bangkok #2

The night is young, an everlasting instant. In cities like Bangkok that sentiment is felt just in the atmosphere; the lights, the nightlife, and the vibe. On our first night in Bangkok, we hit up Above 11, a Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant located on the 48th floor of the Fraser Suites hotel. The food was past delicious, perfectly blending elements of both cuisines while remaining flavorful, and innovative. After that, we went to the Lumia bar, where some scenes from Hangover 2 were filmed, to have drinks. The view was amazing, and the whole experience was amplified by the live music. Like any big city, Bangkok is especially beautiful at night when the stars are dazzling, and the buildings are lit.

We all have that clothing item that makes us feel like a million bucks; for some it’s a dress, a pair of denim cutoffs, or a pair of killer heels. I always feel my best when wearing a dress, be it in winter, summer, fall, or spring. Dresses make me feel free, elegant, and comfortable. Fashion is about taking risks with your style, but still remaining true to yourself. That is how I like to dress, incorporating both personal staple pieces, and more trendy or adventurous items. For example, this dress, The cut and silhouette are fairly simple, but the color definitely makes a statement. This yellow shade is one I never wear, but I took a risk with the color instead of buying it in white or black. The whole look was transformed by the shape, and movement of the drees, which added a  bohemian, carefree element to the look. I dressed up the look with the shoes and bag, adding some contrast to the otherwise casual look. These wedges from Forever 21 are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. Not only do they give some additional height (which I need), but they also add texture to the look with the leather and cork materials. I wore a Michael Kors clutch which added some print to the look, and was the perfect size for a night out.

Dress – Belair
Bag – Michael Kors

I have just a few more days left here in Thailand, and I can’t wait to share the rest of my trip with you! I will be teasing some of the looks to come on my Instagram, but sharing them with you all soon!

XOXO, Sofia

    • Thank you Synne! Bangkok is an absolutely amazing city and I really enjoyed my stay there! Unfortunately, I didn’t know about the flower market so I didn’t go. I will definitely put it on my bucket list for the next time I go to Bangkok!
