🎶 These are a few of my favorite things… 🎶 For any of you who didn’t get the reference, this is a lyric from The Sound of Music, one of my favorite musicals ever! I’ve watched it several times on film, seen it in the theater, and at one point even memorized the songs. I didn’t come to tell you about my love for The Sound of Music, but I did want to share with you three of my favorite things at the moment. I’m currently on a quick vacation to the north of France so these are all things that I’ve been using here and loving!
I’m completely, and utterly in love with these boots, but there’s a story behind them too. I was on my weekly Zara browse and I spotted these gorgeous pale blue booties on a shelf 5 meters away from me. I ran to them and hurriedly looked at the number on the sole, only to discover that they were exactly my size! Maybe it was fate, maybe it was luck, but either way these booties ended up in my wardrobe. Since these boots are from Zara, they were very affordable but they’re also great quality. They’re made from a beautiful pale blue suede material, which will be perfect for spring! I’ve been wearing them with dark jeans as a pop of color to the look, but soon I’ll be wearing them with flowy dresses and rompers. And can I just say Zara is killing it with the 70’s vibe right now. Bell bottoms, suede everything, and fringe, yes please!
Vanessa Bruno Bag
In the same hue as the Zara boots, this bag is perfect for adding a pop of color to darker outfits and also just to brighten up my mood! It’s very spacious, and it definitely makes a statement, not just with the color but also with the perforated detailing. The Woman I Wanted to Be – Diane von Fustenberg
Many of you might know, or have heard about Diane von Furstenberg the creator of the iconic wrap dress. Ever since I found out about her, I’ve admired her not only for her designs but also for her independent spirit. The Woman I Wanted to Be isn’t just Diane’s story. This book is her; her attitude, personality, and spirit shine through, making you feel as if you’d known her your entire life. I’m almost done reading the book and all throughout it has made me cry, laugh, smile, but most of all it’s made me reflect. It’s reminded me to be more positive and that the roadblocks in life only serve to make you stronger. In only a few pages, this made me have a better outlook on life, and I would definitely go as far as to say it is my favorite book, ever!
