Happy Sunday everyone! Instead of my usual Sunday Styleday post, I thought I would share with you something that is currently taking place in fashion news; selecting the it bag of the year. Since 1935, Vogue has had the verdict on which bag will become every fashionistas coveted staple for the year. Past examples have included the Rocco studded bag from Alexander Wang in 2009 to The Row’s $34,000 Alligator Backpack in 2011, and this year’s candidates are equally amazing!
From all the bags on option, I immediately spotted my top three. First, I fell in love with Fendi’s Micro Peekaboo Bag. Looking at it, it’s easy to see why. This bag fits the essentials, and nothing else, making its size impossibly cute! It is part of Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection and costs $1,500. Cara Delevingne was seen with a pastel blue version of the bag behind the scenes at Fendi’s Spring/Summer show, and she absolutely rocked it!
Another favorite was the Reed Krakoff Geometric Square Bag. This is one of the most classic bags nominated. As the name implies, the bag is square shaped but it also features a geometric print in white, blue, and black. When empty, it weighs in at exactly one pound, making it just a little bit bigger than the Fendi Micro Peekaboo. This bag costs $2,900, and its slogan encourages you to “think outside the box”.
And then there was the one. The Dior Diorama Bag was the one that captured my heart. Everything from the design, look, and size of the bag to the campaign promoting it is absolute perfection! The campaign slogan reads, “Stick with a bag that won’t let you down in 2015: Vote for no more drama with the Diorama.” Perfect! This beauty will set you back $6,300, but as its slogan reads, it won’t let you down.
There’s only one day left of voting, so if you have a favorite bag or want to check out the other candidates make sure to cast your vote here. Which was your favorite?
