My name is Maria. I am married to a wonderful man named Michael. We were married July 2, 2016, after a 6 month engagement, and only 5 months dating. It was a whirlwind, but the best decision we’ve made.
We have 3 kids, Teddy is 7, Jr is 5, Lottie will be 3 in October, and Trixie was born in June. I absolutely love being a mom, and navigating the different ages. We also have 2 fur babies (Michael HATES that term); Chester is 8 years old and Leroy is 2.5. Chester is a 70lb standard Goldendoodle, and the World’s Greatest Dog! (Name that movie!) Leroy is a 65lb Bernedoodle, and I’m pretty sure he’s part bunny!
I have a degree in Elementary Education, emphasis in English Literature, and a minor in Animal Science & Industry from Kansas State University. Before blogging, I worked in the public school system for 5 years, 2 as a paraprofessional supporting students with special needs and 3 as a classroom teacher.
We are a military family, so our current whereabouts change often. We’ve lived in Kansas, Vermont, and Texas. We are currently in North Carolina and are loving it!
